Several women have spoken up with their stories of violence and abuse\n perpetrated by Arman Sagynbayev – we have no reason not to believe \nthem. Arman has always had a questionable reputation. As an example, \nlong before the arrests, Victor Filinkov and Igor Shishkin stopped their\n communication with him; some of the other defendants were barely \nfamiliar with him. Many of us didn\u2019t know the details, because not all \nthe stories, which are rather personal, were known more widely. We \ndidn\u2019t expect him to continue to be dangerous for women while in jail \nand that\u2019s why we didn’t give enough attention to the details. Now we \nrecognize and understand, that it was a mistake. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The stories shared by these women have left no space for doubts: \nthat\u2019s why the collective Rupression must announce, that we stop any \npersonal support to Arman from our side. We do not collect any money for\n him, and we do not send postcards and letters.

\nIt is important to clarify that Arman\u2019s lawyers were paid by his relatives from the very beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This group of women shared their stories when they got information \nthat his abusive behaviour is still continuing – he continues to deceive\n those with whom he corresponds and manipulates people. We\u2019d like to \nshow support to the victims and hope that their bravery will help others\n protect themselves from Arman\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All the persons involved in this case are political prisoners and we \nhave no doubts that Arman has suffered from the cruel torture by the FSB\n same as the others. All accused without exception should be free, and \nthose who are responsible for the torture should take their places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
